HQCA evaluation of the CII-CPAR initiative
In July, the Health Quality Council of Alberta evaluated the CII-CPAR initiative so far. View the CII-CPAR Formative Evaluation: Summary Report. Key successes identified include:
  • Physicians are finding CED useful and helpful in improving patient care in clinics and hospitals.
  • eNotifications, which allow for two-way data flow between community EMRs and Netcare, have positively impacted family physicians with a way to consistently know when a CPAR-paneled patient has had a hospital admission, discharge, emergency department discharge or day surgery anywhere in Alberta.
  • Access to consult letters has contributed to better patient care in a number of ways: less duplication, more informed treatment and smoother transitions.
  • And more!
