MD Financial Management, AMA collaboration recognizes Calgary frontline health care workers

In June, MD Financial Management collaborated with the Alberta Medical Association to issue a special token of gratitude to Calgary area front line health care workers who led the way in the battle against COVID-19 this unforgettable spring. With the help of the CAMSS, the AMA identified 77 professionals who went above and beyond in the face of the pandemic – and provided them with a meal voucher for two to dine at Model Milk, one of Canada’s top-100 restaurants and a beloved local business.

This was part of a nationwide initiative by MD to say thank you to Canadian physicians who deftly managed the health crisis caused by the novel coronavirus. In other regions of the country, MD has delivered meals to hospitals, but Alberta Health Services was keeping safety top of mind and didn’t want to encourage any staff congregations. In a great example of teamwork, the AMA stepped in and helped MD overcome the no-contact hurdle and devise an alternate solution to recognize the medical community, along the same culinary lines.
