Community physicians eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

As of April 12, all frontline health care providers are eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccine appointment. This includes physicians, other health care professionals and their office or support staff who provide in-person, direct patient care.

To prove eligibility, physicians registered with CPSA can download a copy of their practice permit from the CPSA physician portal.

You can download an employer letter from the CPSA physician portal as proof of employment to authorize their staff’s vaccination.

More information on the phase 2C launch can be found on the COVID-19 vaccine program web page. To book your appointment, visit the COVID-19 immunization booking web page.

A boost to offset escalating tuition fees:
read testimonies from two grateful students

The TD Insurance Meloche Monnex/AMA Medical Student Bursaries help to reduce financial pressure from escalating medical school tuition fees. The boost this bursary provides helps qualified students afford to attend medical school. Since 2001, the program has awarded $1,956,000.

This year we were fortunate to administer bursaries to 74 well-deserving medical students. Two of this year's recipients, medical students Srishti Shrivastav and Lloyd Luitzen Visser, want to express their gratitude.

The TD Insurance Meloche Monnex/AMA Medical Student Bursary Program is made possible through a significant contribution by TD Insurance Meloche Monnex as well as donations from generous physician members. Bursaries are $1,500 each and in March 2021, $111,000 was awarded to medical students who qualified.
